About

Marko Človek was born in Pula (October 25, 1993), where he graduated from the School of Applied Arts and Design (2012). He graduated from the Academy of Applied Arts at the University of Rijeka, in  the Department of Sculpture (2019). In his final year he was awarded the Academy Award for Achievement.

He held eight solo and a number of group exhibitions and participated in various artist residencies and colonies in the country and abroad. He is the author of four sculptures located in several public spaces, and his work is also in the holdings of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Istria. He participated at the XIII. Triennale of Croatian Sculpture in Zagreb, 2018.

He is a member of the Croatian Association of Fine Artists in Istria (HDLU Istre), a member of the artistic association Cavae romanae 95, and has also been appointed as a member of the Cultural Council for Fine Arts of the City of Pula (2024).

In addition to his sculptural work, he performs projects of an applied nature, such as educational art workshops and courses.
Currently, he lives and works in Pula, and his creative interest is directed towards full plasticity and expression in different sculptural media.
